Partex leads the world in industrial marking systems.
We manufacture products for the identification of wires, cables, pipes and components. From the individual electrician to the world’s largest companies, our unique marking systems contribute towards increased efficiency and higher safety levels.
Partex is a family owned company going back three generations. We have over 75 years of experience in the field of marking. This experience, combined with state of the art production capabilities, enables us to offer the perfect solutions for today’s demanding identification requirements. Our continuous forward development in materials and advanced production techniques ensures that we will be equally well placed to offer solutions for tomorrow’s requirements.
Company history
1948
Partex is founded under the name Electro-Lööf by Tore Lööf in Gullspång, Sweden.
1951
The first sleeve marker PX, is launched. The sleeve marker is made of PVC and comes in three different sizes to cover cable size´s from 1mm² to 16mm². The marker was equipped with a plug-in pocket in just the right size for a label with marking information on it.
1956
Launch of PA-marking.
1962
Launch of the first custom made marking systems.
1973
Elektro-Lööf changes It´s name to Partex.
1991
The first subsidiary was formed, Partex Marking Systems [UK] Ltd. Partex bought it´s distributor in Birmingham, England, after a collaboration of nearly twenty years.
1993
A subsidiary was founded in Germany.
1999
Subsidiaries were founded in Poland and France.
2001
A subsidiary was founded in USA.
2003
TorBjörn Lööf acquired 100% of Partex.
2008
Sophie Lööf became co-owner of Partex.
2012
A subsidiary was founded in India.
2013
A subsidiary was founded in Russia. Lööf Foundation is founded and becomes an important part in the company’s CSR work.
2014
A subsidiary in Brazil was founded and 60% of Partex Ariane was acquired. Grand opening of our sales office in Dubai.
2015
70% of former distributor Haley's Electrical Engineering in South Africa was acquired and became a subsidiary.
2016
Sophie Lööf acquired 70% of Partex and became a majority owner.
2019
Sophie Lööf is the owner (100%) of Partex.
